The upcoming 2023 NFL Draft features a number of impressive quarterback prospects such as Alabama quarterback Bryce Young and Ohio State standout C.J. Stroud. However, Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones believes that TCU quarterback Max Duggan is the “most impressive quarterback” in the upcoming draft class.
Jones discussed Duggan’s first practice on Wednesday for the upcoming Senior Bowl, telling Jori Epstein of Yahoo Sports that Duggan “stood out with an impressive performance.”
“He just looked comfortable. He looked confident. And he was really throwing the ball around. He was certainly the most impressive quarterback in my mind,” Jones told Epstein.
Jerry Jones isn't unbiased about DFW players. Still, unprompted, Jerry said Max Duggan "stood out" in good practice today.

As Epstein said in her Twitter post, Jones is far from impartial about players in the Dallas-Fort Worth area such as Duggan.
It is however an interesting quote from Jones considering the struggles that Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott had in the NFC Divisional Round in their loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
Duggan isn’t a flashy prospect like Young or Stroud, but he impressed in a big way this past season at TCU, taking them all the way to a National Championship Game appearance against the Georgia Bulldogs.
The TCU standout is not expected by most to be an early-round selection in the upcoming NFL Draft. This makes the possibility of the Cowboys drafting Duggan extremely interesting.
Jones has been known to fall in love with quarterbacks in the pre-draft process, especially those in the state of Texas. Jones himself detailed that he was extremely close to taking former Texas A&M star Johnny Manziel in the 2014 NFL Draft.
Duggan is nowhere near the prospect that Manziel was, which may make it even more likely that Jones gets his way and potentially gets his guy in the middle rounds of the draft.
