It’s not every day that you find out that some of the NFL’s top quarterbacks were on the same college campus before they made it to the league. It’s also not every day that you find out they hosted one another on those respective visits. Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott made a shocking revelation on “The Adam Schefter Podcast.” To the amazement of ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter and those in the NFL world, Prescott revealed that he hosted Jalen Hurts on a visit to Mississippi State.
Brian Johnson, now the Philadelphia Eagles offensive coordinator, served as Mississippi State’s quarterback coach from 2014-16. That connection led to Hurts visiting Starkville, though Prescott admitted that the Eagles starting QB was already committed to the Alabama Crimson Tide.
“I was just hanging out with him,” Prescott recalled. “I knew where he was going.”
Schefter then posed a question about Lamar Jackson to Prescott, who revealed that he also hosted him on a visit to Mississippi State. So, he played host to not only Hurts but Jackson as well.
“Lamar was cool,” Prescott said. “He was quiet at the time, but it was a great visit. It was a normal college visit, you know?”
And believe it or not, Jalen Ramsey was another player Dak Prescott hosted at Mississippi State. While he played host to quite the cast of characters in Starkville, his recruiting abilities may need a little fine-tuning, as none of the three players mentioned ended up with the Bulldogs.
