The Dallas Cowboys are an NFL franchise unto themselves, for better or worse.

Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team already had some spice to it after Dallas coach Mike McCarthy guaranteed a victory, prompting a response from WFT coach Ron Rivera. Now, add in the fact that Dallas sent their own benches to the FedEx Field and you’ve got a situation that is pure Jerry Jones and classic Cowboys.

Before the game between the NFC East rivals, reporters started noticing that the benches along the Dallas sideline were a bit different from what you normally see. And sure enough, it was soon confirmed that the team had their own hot-seat benches flown in so that they didn’t have to deal with potentially faulty ones that WFT provides.

According to reports, the Seattle Seahawks gave the Cowboys a heads up that, when they played at FedEx Field, the benches would fritz from time to time. And so, the Cowboys did what the Cowboys do. And you better believe that social media was ready to react to this power move. They especially noted that Dallas now had better seating than the home team did.

The Cowboys really, really need to win this game. Otherwise, between McCarthy’s guarantee and flying in all these heated benches, they’re going to have a lot to answer for on Monday. And so far, so good…
