Veteran free agent running back Dalvin Cook just made a visit to the New York Jets and admitted that “the possibility is high” that he ultimately joins star quarterback Aaron Rodgers and signs a contract with New York. But he’s still not ruling out potentially signing with the Miami Dolphins.
During an appearance on the NFL Network on Friday morning, Dalvin Cook made it clear that he is still interested in signing with the Miami Dolphins and opened up about just what it would mean to play for his hometown team after he played both high school and college football in the state of Florida.
“Yeah, I’m still weighing my options. This thing is not over,” Cook said during his appearance on Friday. “Playing in my hometown would mean so much for me, for my community, for my family – just everything around me. It’s a Cinderella story. It’s just something that would bring so much joy to the city. And I know what I bring to the city and for myself.”
It sure sounds like Cook would love to join the Miami Dolphins, it’s just a matter of receiving a contract he feels he can accept in order to do it.
