Damar Hamlin has reportedly made the Buffalo Bills, and that has the NFL world buzzing on Tuesday.

NFL Network insider Tom Pelissero reported the big news on Hamlin, who attempts to make a comeback to the NFL. “Damar Hamlin has made the Bills’ 53-man roster, per source,” Pelissero posted. “Hamlin has been working in camp as a backup safety and special teamer as he continues to make his way back after suffering cardiac arrest on the field in January.

It’s been an unbelievable journey for Hamlin in 2023. In January, the Bills safety went into cardiac arrest during a Monday Night Football game with the Cincinnati Bengals. He was later treated at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center. He’s amazingly been able to make a full recovery, well enough for him to be a participator in training camp and in preseason action. It’s incredible to think about, and it just gets crazier by the day.

Hamlin’s made appearances at the Super Bowl, the White House, and the ESPY Awards over the course of the off-season. He will enter his third year in the NFL once this season begins. The defensive back formerly starred at the University of Pittsburgh before joining the Bills in 2021, when the team drafted him in the sixth round.

The sports world reacted to the huge news.
