It’s been a scary couple of days around the sports world as everyone has anxiously awaited any news or updates following the terrifying incident that left Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin needing life-saving CPR on the field during Monday night’s game against the Cincinnati Bengals. But on Thursday morning, those updates finally came and they were very hopeful with news that he had shown “remarkable improvement.” And now, the doctors treating Hamlin have an even more specific update.
During a press conference on Thursday afternoon, doctors revealed that Damar Hamlin was beginning to awaken on Thursday morning and even asked the doctors if the Bills won the game. And the doctors revealed that he’s shown good neurological recovery and “overall clinical improvement.”

“It’s been a long and difficult road for the last three days. He has been very sick and has made a fairly remarkable recovery and improvement to the point, as Tim noted, he has now demonstrated that sign of good neurological recovery as well as overall clinical improvement as previously reported related to not just his vital signs but his individual organ recovery,” the doctor said during the press conference.
It’s great to have some news to celebrate after this terrible situation.
