As a United States House Oversight Committee continues to investigate the Washington Commanders and owner Dan Snyder for allegations of sexual harassment, misogyny, and financial fraud, Snyder finally agreed to testify earlier this year and is now punching back against the allegations in a completely different way – by threatening the rest of the NFL.

According to a long-form report from NFL reporters Don Van Natta Jr., Seth Wickersham and Tisha Thompson of ESPN, Snyder is threatening to release dirt against various NFL owners and league commissioner Roger Goodell if he loses the right to own the Commanders franchise.

According to ESPN, Snyder has said privately that “they can’t f— with me,” claiming that he has enough dirt to “blow up” several NFL owners, the league office, and Goodell. Multiple NFL owners told ESPN that Snyder has hired private investigators to look into other owners and Goodell for dirt that he can use as blackmail.

Snyder also compared the NFL to the mafia, claiming that all of the owners hate each other.

According to one team source, Snyder has “a file” of dirt on Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones, who has long been his friend in the league. According to another owner who claims knowledge of Snyder’s dirt on other NFL owners, Snyder is “behaving like a mad dog cornered.”

For what it’s worth, a team spokesperson has denied all of these allegations, calling them “simply ridiculous and utterly false.”
