Robert Pattinson’s version of Batman in the recent film wasn’t exactly a muscle-bound version. But if they need one of those for a future film, Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Darius Slay thinks that teammate A.J. Brown would literally fill that role.

Brown looked pretty fantastic in his Eagles debut last weekend, burning Detroit’s defense for a career-high 155 yards on 10 receptions. The 226-pound 25-year-old took full advantage of his imposing frame to garner a 44.8-percent target share, which was second only to Davante Adams in Week 1.

Slay was one of the guys lining up against Brown in practice and he’s clearly excited to see some other defenders have to deal with him now. During an appearance on Richard Sherman’s podcast on The Volume Network, Slay debuted his nickname for Brown, who he calls “swole Batman.”

“Straight dog, man. You know he wants to be recognized as one of the best in the game. He lines up anybody in front of him, [he’s] trying to destroy them,” said Slay. “He’s so good after the catch it’s just ridiculous. To see him in person that close up, because I never played against him, this is my first time seeing him live up, it’s a different animal out there. With that dark visor, he looks like a swole Batman.”

If Brown is swole Batman, perhaps Minnesota Vikings receiver Justin Jefferson is his Joker. We’ll find out when the Eagles host the Vikings on Monday night.
