Davante Adams slams helmet Davante Adams slams helmet

Las Vegas Raiders star wide receiver Davante Adams has been openly critical of the team’s offense throughout this season as well as the team’s failure to get him the ball. And it’s safe to say that frustration continued during Monday night’s loss to the Detroit Lions.

In the game, Davante Adams had just one catch for 11 yards. He was targeted six other times in the game and was wide open on two plays that would likely have gone for long touchdowns but Raiders quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo missed him with two widely inaccurate throws that Adams had no chance to catch.

After the game, Adams’ frustration was evident as he could be seen slamming his helmet in anger on the sideline.

“Honestly, I don’t know what to say at this moment. I truly don’t,” Adams said after the game according to Pro Football Talk. “I wish I had the words to say something that’s not going to get blown up in the media and taken out of context, so I’m going to just. . . . I truly, I just don’t know.”

Adams’ words and actions generated a lot of reactions on social media.

We’ll have to see if the Raiders can get this offense fixed this season.
