Green Bay Packers wide receiver Davante Adams was taken off the field on a stretcher after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit from Chicago Bears linebacker Danny Trevathan during Thursday Night Football at Lambeau Field.

The Packers faced a third-and-goal from the 16-yard line when Adams caught a short pass from Aaron Rodgers across the middle of the field. Bears defenders Pernell McPhee, DeAndre Houston-Carson, and Adrian Amos were already in the process of tackling Adams, when Trevathan came in and delivered a vicious hit to Adams’ head. Adams appeared to be knocked out cold, but did give a thumbs up to the crowd as he was stretchered off the field.

And here’s Adams being taken off on a stretcher and giving a thumbs up to the crowd:

The Packers tweeted that Adams is being evaluated for a “head and neck injury, and possibility of concussion.”

They added that he’s been taken to a hospital for further testing, but has movement in all his extremities.

Adams is one of Rodgers’ main targets, and had two receptions for 13 yards and a touchdown on the night.
