Lamar Jackson finds himself in the middle of a very public spat with the Baltimore Ravens over his next contract.

The Ravens have been unwilling to give Jackson a fully guaranteed contract like the one the Cleveland Browns gave Deshaun Watson, and Jackson has asked to be traded. However, no other NFL teams seem interested in Jackson, a former NFL MVP who is a proven winner, which has led to a lot of confusion, accusations, and drama.

Jackson has also spent a lot of time pushing back against the narrative that he didn’t try hard enough to play last season after he was injured.

Meanwhile, one former outspoken NFL player has offered up some blunt advice for the Ravens quarterback.

Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders, someone who has never had a problem offering up his thoughts, shared his advice for Jackson recently.

“Stop explaining Yourself to fools and allow fools to be fools. A brother trying that’s strong, believes in himself and willing to stand for what he believes will always be misunderstood & judged by fools of all ethnicities. Love ya my brother and “I Believe in You” !” Sanders wrote on Twitter.

The Jackson-Ravens drama isn’t likely to have a happy ending, but the quarterback is certainly going to have a chip on his shoulder when he suits up for whoever his next team is.
