The Denver Broncos continued to frustrate their fans and the NFL world on Sunday.
The Broncos served up a dismal performance in a 23-10 loss to the woeful Carolina Panthers. They struggled offensively against a defense that allowed 23.3 points per game coming into the day. The Bronco defense let quarterback Sam Darnold, who received the nod earlier in the week, lead the Panthers to victory without a turnover to his name.
So once again, head coach Nathaniel Hackett is hearing it from the critics.
Hackett has lived with criticism all season, literally since Week 1, with his job questioned time and time again. Often, it’s been hard to not agree with the criticism. Coaching issues have been a big part of why Denver hasn’t done well this season.
So once again, the NFL world blasted the Broncos head coach Sunday. The local media got in on the scrum as well. Denver area reporter Troy Renck tweeted, “Broncos Hackett has had many low points this season. Getting punked by Panthers ranks as worst right nw. Not sure how many more games like this he can survive.”

Hackett has also made dubious history this season. As ESPN’s Field Yates tweeted, “The Broncos scored 10 points today, falling to the Panthers 23-10. Denver is now down to 14.27 points per game this season, the worst by any team in the NFL since the 2000 Browns (10.1).” Not great company to be involved with.

Many others had similar types of reactions that all landed on the same spectrum.
the Broncos quite simply have to fire Nathaniel Hackett after this game
season is over but give Ejiro Evero a shot to run the team down the stretch and see what he can do. you know what Hackett is – absolutely zero reason to keep him around

Each week you think "at least the Broncos can't get worse on offense"
And then they do.

If I owned the Broncos I'd fire Nathaniel Hackett on the flight home and bring in a coach from the outside to finish the season and see if he can figure out what's wrong with Russell Wilson. The investment in Russ is too great not to try to get it fixed ASAP.

I have no narrative to push.
I have no bias to confirm.
I advocated strongly for his hiring.
But …
It's time for the #Broncos to fire Nathaniel Hackett.

Nathaniel Hackett to be named Nebraska offensive coordinator on Thursday.

It’s no longer a question of if, but when.
When does Nathaniel Hackett get fired?— Mark Kiszla (@markkiszla) November 27, 2022
I can remember that I think Josh McDaniels is a moron but Nathaniel Hackett makes me think about AP English
