The Denver Broncos have been shockingly bad this season given the preseason expectations after trading for former Seattle Seahawks star quarterback Russell Wilson during the offseason. While the defense has been pretty solid, the team’s offense has been among the worst in the NFL, ranking dead last in terms of scoring offense with just 14.7 points per game.

The offense and Russell Wilson have been bad for the Broncos all year and it’s clear to everyone who has watched the team that the inability to score is really holding the team back. And this one, Nick Wright of FS1 revealed one shocking stat that shows just how much better the team would be performing if the offense was just a little bit better.

“Apologies if someone else has already tweeted this, but the Broncos would now be 9-1 if they had scored 18 points in regulation every game. 9-1!!!,” Wright said in a Tweet.

It’s an absolutely shocking stat, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

Obviously, scoring 18 points per game doesn’t feel like too much to ask. In fact, even that would still be one of the lowest scoring outputs of any team in the NFL this season, ranking No. 28 out of 32 NFL teams. Unfortunately, the Broncos can’t even do that.
