The Las Vegas Raiders could not have played much worse on offense during Sunday afternoon’s contest against the New Orleans Saints as the team was shut out in the game, losing by a final score of 24-0. Quarterback Derek Carr had a particularly poor performance, and he had plenty to say about it on Sunday afternoon.

After the game, Derek Carr answered for the team’s lackluster performance, calling the shutout loss “embarrassing” before assuring fans that the performance “should never happen.”

“This is embarrassing. We can’t have that. That right there is embarrassing and that should never happen, especially with that group of guys in that locker room,” Carr said in his postgame press conference, in a video shared by Logan Reever. “Just more urgency. I think urgency is the world – urgency in the meetings, in the walkthrough. Competitive. No one is going to give you anything in this league. I think we as a whole are learning that today. And we hope that that’s the last time. That’s what you hope.”

Carr went just 15-of-26 for 101 yards and an interception through the air before the team pulled him in favor of backup quarterback Jarrett Stidham for the rest of the game. The Raiders will need Carr to be much better in the future.
