Derrick Henry TD pass

Tennessee Titans star running back Derrick Henry has been known as undoubtedly one of the most dangerous offensive weapons in the NFL. He showed that off in an extremely unconventional way with a great trick play on Thursday night against the Green Bay Packers.

The play occurred in the third quarter on an impressive drive from the Titans. Henry highlighted his versatility in this drive with a massive 42-yard reception from quarterback Ryan Tannehill to put the Titans into the red zone.

Later on in the drive, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel drew up a creative play call where Henry was asked to throw the ball at the goal line.

The innovative play call by Vrabel was successful, with Henry completing a three-yard touchdown pass to tight end Austin Hooper.

Henry is already enough of a threat in the running game, but showing off his receiving and passing skills makes him even more dangerous, which fans took the chance to point out on social media.

This jump pass is actually something that the Titans have pulled off with success before, with Henry completing his only other passing touchdown during the postseason after the 2019 season.

His latest passing touchdown puts Henry in some extremely rarified air, with only eight others players rushing for 75 career touchdowns along with having two passing touchdowns.

Coming into Thursday’s game, the Tennessee Titans had been extremely impressive thus far this year, sitting atop the AFC South with a 6-3 record on the season.

A huge part of that success has been due to Derrick Henry and his excellence. This unusual touchdown pass is certainly showed why he’s “King Henry”.
