On Sunday afternoon, Carolina Panthers wide receiver DJ Moore quickly went from hero to goat when he scored a late touchdown on a hail mary pass to tie the game at 34 but then took off his helmet on the field during the celebration, earning an unsportsmanlike conduct penalty that led to a missed extra point. The team ultimately lost in overtime when they could have won in regulation, but Moore isn’t really dwelling on the costly mistake.

Speaking to reporters this week, DJ Moore was asked if he has any regrets after his actions. And surprisingly, he told reporters that he did not.

“Regrets? Nah,” Moore said according to ESPN. “Not to that extent. Should I not have done it? No. Did I do it? Yeah. And I own up to that. It was just like in the moment type of deal. Can I say if I would do it differently in that moment? Nah, probably not.”

These comments are quite a bit different than the comments he made immediately following the game on Sunday after he stayed on the field several minutes after the game thinking about the costly penalty.

When asked what he was thinking about after the game, Moore said he was thinking about “what would have happened if I didn’t take my helmet off, going back to what happened.”

Apparently, he’s over it.
