The Miami Dolphins have a lot to figure out if people in the building expect to keep their jobs. The Dolphins’ loss to the Cleveland Browns on Sunday dropped the team to 1-6 on the season.
Franchise quarterback Tua Tagovailoa threw three interceptions in the contest, leading many to speculate that head coach Mike McDaniel would replace the struggling veteran in an attempt to save his own job.
On Monday, the head coach made his final decision on who his quarterback would be moving forward, according to one prominent league insider.
“Dolphins HC Mike McDaniel said Tua Tagovailoa is still his starting quarterback,” reported Ari Meirov.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“We are a joke of a franchise, we need to figure out a way to get rid of Tua I don’t know which team will want him, but try to trade him for anything, literally trade him for nothing in exchange, just figure out a way to dump his salary,” one fan wrote on Twitter.
“People act like Tua hasn’t thrown some serious passes this season McDaniel sticking with him shows there’s still faith in what he can do Even with the ups and downs everyone forgets this team wouldn’t be where it’s at without him taking those risk,” someone else added.
“In a perfect world, Mike McDaniel would already be fired, and Quinn Ewers would be Miami’s QB1,” one fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see if McDaniel changes his mind before the season wraps.
