There might not be a more polarizing man in the entire world than former United States President Donald Trump as people generally either love him or hate him. And apparently, you can put Philadelphia Eagles star quarterback Jalen Hurts in the category of people who dislike Trump.

During a recent podcast episode, sports media personality Skip Bayless gave some insight on Jalen Hurts’ recent departure from Lil Wayne’s Young Money APAA Sports Agency, revealing that it “had something to do” with a photo Lil Wayne took with Donald Trump back in 2020.

Back in 2020, Lil Wayne met with Trump to discuss his “Platinum Plan,” which was a $500 billion package that was designed to “uplift black communities.” Following their meeting, Lil Wayne posted of himself standing next to Trump with a fairly positive caption.

“Just had a great meeting with @realdonaldtrump @potus besides what he’s done so far with criminal reform, the platinum plan is going to give the community real ownership. He listened to what we had to say today and assured he will and can get it done,” Lil Wayne said in a tweet.

According to Bayless, Jalen Hurts was not a fan of the photo, and it played some role in Hurts ultimately leaving Lil Wayne’s sports agency.

It’s a pretty wild revelation, and the sports world had plenty to say about it on Twitter.

It’s worth noting that while Bayless is not technically a reporter and is more of an entertainment personality than anything else, he is friends with Lil Wayne, so it would make sense for him to have this information.
