There has been a ton of speculation surrounding Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson and where he will ultimately end up. It seems like any number of possibilities are still on the table. However, prominent NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus suggested that the Indianapolis Colts could have the most to gain from trading for the former MVP winner.
Rosenhaus was asked about Jackson’s future during an appearance on the Pat McAfee Show on Wednesday. McAfee, a former longtime punter for the Colts was pleased when Rosenhaus said that Indianapolis should be in the market for Jackson.
“You have the Indianapolis Colts out there who have a new head coach in Shane Steichen, who was the offensive coordinator for the Eagles,” said Rosenhaus. “They need a quarterback. You have Chris Ballard, who is a great GM and you have an owner in Jim Irsay.
“Say what you will about him, but Irsay wants to win. If I’m Ballard, who has made moves for Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan, let’s make it happen for Lamar Jackson. My opinion is the Colts should give up the number four pick and their first next year for Lamar Jackson.”

I'm not the only one who is looking for the Colts to get Lamar… https://t.co/VVAgPo7Qim

Exactly my feelings all along. We go all out for bums like Wentz and Ryan but won’t for Lamar, who is 10000x better player than either of those 2 dudes mentioned. Make it make sense https://t.co/nKU67wpF5z

This idea from Rosenhaus is one that has been circulating around the NFL world in recent months. When asked about it recently, both owner Jim Irsay and general manager Chris Ballard didn’t exactly shut down the possibility, calling him a “special player”.
The organization has made significant moves for starting quarterbacks in recent years, trading for both Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan in recent years. However, neither trade worked out at all which may completely dissuade them from making another big quarterback move.
It will ultimately come down to whether or not the organization wants to develop their own quarterback likely selected with the No. 4 overall pick in the upcoming 2023 NFL Draft, or potentially leverage huge draft compensation for Lamar Jackson.
