After defeating the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Championship Game, Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce got on the mic to call out Cincinnati mayor Aftab Pureval.

Pureval handed out some trash talk before the game, citing Joe Burrow’s 3-0 record against the Chiefs. But when the Chiefs prevailed 23-20 to advance to the Super Bowl, Kelce channeled Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson in a WWE-style promo, telling the mayor, “Know your role and shut yo’ mouth, you jabroni!”

Kelce’s promo certainly got the fans at Arrowhead Stadium jacked, and it didn’t take long for this to reach “The Great One” himself.

Johnson got a kick out of Kelce on stage, reacting to two clips of him calling out the mayor.

“My boy Trav out here cuttin’ Rock promos with the [fire emoji] [mic emoji] [trophy emoji] [football emoji] [fist emoji]

“Love it @tkelce

“Super Bowl bound!!”

“My boy said what he said.

“I appreciate the venomous ‘shut yo’ over formal ‘shut your’ [laughing emoji] [fist emoji] [trophy emoji]

“@tkelce”

For those unfamiliar with pro wrestling vernacular, a “jabroni” is a loser. Johnson credits The Iron Sheik for creating the term, but it was The Rock who made it mainstream. Case in point, Travis Kelce using it in an audience of over 50 million people.
