Philadelphia Eagles fans enjoyed a collective sigh of relief on Wednesday. Star wide receiver A.J. Brown was a bit banged up going into the NFC Championship Game this Sunday. But Brown, himself, spoke on his status Wednesday.
“I’m good to go,” Brown said.
Eagles insider Dave Spadaro of Eagles.com tweeted, “WR A.J. Brown: I’m good. Good to go. That’s all you need to know.”

Brown was absent from the practice report on Wednesday, which certified his own assessment of himself. He’ll be looked at big-time this weekend as Philadelphia prepares for the San Francisco 49ers to come to town. The Niners ride a huge winning streak, up to 12 games after they defeated the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday in the NFC Divisional Round.
San Francisco has been a force to be reckoned with this season. Their defense has been stifling but the Eagles pose a significant threat. Philadelphia had one of the best offenses in the entire NFC this season. With Brown good to go, he, DeVonta Smith, Dallas Goedert, Miles Sanders, and quarterback Jalen Hurts are well-prepared for battle. It figures to be an intense contest on Sunday afternoon at Lincoln Financial Field.
It’s also quite good for the game when star players play. So Brown, who ranks as one of the best in the league, will be able to make a significant impact on the big stage. The Eagles hope to reach the Super Bowl for the first time in five seasons. San Francisco seeks its first trip since 2020.
