Jalen Hurts Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Jalen Hurts (1) evades Indianapolis Colts defenders on a fourth down play Sunday, Nov. 20, 2022, during a game against the Philadelphia Eagles at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis.

Six days ago, the Philadelphia Eagles were undefeated and everyone’s favorite to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. There were whispers about a “perfect” season.

Flash forward to Sunday afternoon, and the Eagles don’t look so invincible anymore.

On Sunday, they escaped with a 17-16 victory over the Indianapolis Colts Sunday. The game was in doubt until the final seconds as the Colts had a chance to drive down for a potential game-winning field goal. But the Eagles D held tight to seal the win.

Quarterback Jalen Hurts put Philadelphia ahead with a 7-yard touchdown run with just more than a minute remaining.

Coming off their loss to the Washington Commanders last Monday, the Eagles did not look sharp against the Colts. Favored by 7, they trailed the whole game until Hurts’ TD run.

Of course, the Eagles were playing this game on a short week, but that’s not a great excuse. Still, football fans were left wondering about Philadelphia. Even Philly fans were not happy with the performance.

“The Eagles offensive play calling has been atrocious today,” tweeted Brenden Deeg.

“The Eagles just ain’t as great as you think they are,” noted one fan.

“Eagles are 9-1 and if they’re not your team, your team isn’t,” tweeted Frank Taney.
