The Philadelphia Eagles looked like a burgeoning dynasty after their complete dismantling of the Kansas City Chiefs in Super Bowl LIX to cap last season. However, this year’s Eagles proved to be a much different unit.
Quarterback Jalen Hurts struggled throughout the season, leading to some very public frustrations from wide receiver A.J. Brown, and even star running back Saquon Barkley was a step or two below his elite production from last year’s form.
After such a brutal year for the offense, the Eagles are making a major, albeit somewhat expected, change to their coaching staff, according to one prominent insider.
“The #Eagles have informed offensive coordinator Kevin Patullo they’re making a change at the position, sources tell me and (Ian Rapoport). The search for another OC for Jalen Hurts begins soon,” reported NFL Network’s Mike Garafolo.
Garafolo followed up with a report that although Patullo has been relieved of his duties as offensive coordinator, it doesn’t necesarrily meant that he won’t remain on staff for next season.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“Kliff seems like the obvious hire, but it won’t matter if Sirianni keeps arguing with his star players on the sideline,” one fan wrote on Twitte.r
“If they have a brain in their heads, they will fire this hack and not allow him near this team at any capacity,” someone else added.
“You would think by now he would have learned how to call plays or come up with some creative plays. He is a lost cause, is no help and should be completely gone,” another fan added.
It’ll be interesting to see who assumes the role next season.
