The Dallas Cowboys are looking to get back on track during this week’s game against the first-place Minnesota Vikings after suffering a 31-28 overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers on Sunday afternoon. And it looks like the team will be closer to full strength this week.

During his press conference on Friday afternoon, Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy announced that several different key contributors are set to play this week, including star running back Ezekiel Elliott.

“Cowboys coach Mike McCarthy said Ezekiel Elliott, DeMarcus Lawrence and Anthony Barr are all expected to play against the Vikings,” Cowboys reporter Clarence Hill Jr. said on Twitter.

Elliott has not played for the Cowboys since suffering a Grade 2 MCL sprain during the team’s Week 7 win over the Detroit Lions. Thanks to the Cowboys’ bye week in Week 9, Elliott only had to miss two games with his injury.

Even with Elliott sidelined however, the Cowboys offense hasn’t missed a beat thanks to some stellar play from running back Tony Pollard. With Elliott injured, Pollard had back-to-back 100-yard rushing performances while scoring four total touchdowns across the two games.

It will be interesting to see how the team divides the carries between the two running backs going forward.
