Ezekiel Elliott during the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University on April 28, 2016 in Chicago, Illinois.

Ezekiel Elliott’s jersey is the best selling NFL jersey in the last three months on NFLShop.com. The Cowboys had him #1 on their draft board, and that has registered well before Elliott has taken his first professional snap.

Elliott led the list, followed by Tom Brady, Odell Beckham, Cam Newton, and Rob Gronkowski. Carson Wentz, another high NFC East draft pick, was sixth on this list.

The former Ohio State running back may have had a built in advantage with his new team, as one of the best days in his college career came at his new pro stadium in the 2015 National Championship Game. Combine that with the fact that the Buckeyes are a massive college program with a huge nationwide fanbase, and that helps explain Elliott’s rise to the top of the charts.

Perhaps more impressive is that these sales figures don’t include those from the Cowboys’ website due to a unique arrangement the team has with the NFL. If you figure in those sales figures, Elliott is likely lapping the rest of field.

Dez Bryant and Jason Witten were the best-selling Cowboys jerseys from April 1, 2015 to January 30, 2016, coming in at ninth and tenth among all players in the league, respectively.
