There isn’t anyway to sugarcoat this, the Atlanta Falcons are terrible.
The defense held strong for most of the game but the offense was very pitiful in the Falcons 25-0 loss to the New England Patriots. In a game where pundits will debate if the Patriots defense was that good or that the Falcons offense was that bad, the Patriots defense had four interceptions with Kyle Van Noy returning one for a touchdown. In doing so, the Falcons achieved something that really epitomized how badly they did.
Among the four interceptions thrown by the Falcons, all three quarterbacks wound up throwing at least one pick. According to Josh Dubow from the Associated Press, this is the first time three quarterbacks from the same team each threw interceptions in the same game since Chargers QB’s Jim Harbaugh, Ryan Leaf, and Moses Moreno achieved that feat in November 2000.
The last time 3 QBs threw an INT in same game before Matt Ryan, Josh Rosen and Feleipe Franks did it for Falcons tonight was 11/12/2000 when Jim Harbaugh, Ryan Leaf and Moses Moreno did it for Chargers in 17-7 loss to Dolphins (Texans did it in 2009 w/ 2 QBs and RB) https://t.co/RKfFN2alGu

All four picks happened in the fourth quarter which by that time, New England was up 13-0. Matt Ryan threw two of the four picks and was subbed out once the Pats made it a three possession game with less than two minutes left.

Josh Rosen came in to try and get on the board but it took him just three plays to get picked off for a touchdown. Now with the game completely over, Feleipe Franks decided to put his mark on the game by getting picked off in his first snap of the game. The Patriots then kneeled to seal the 25-0 win.

In the last two games, the Falcons have been outscored 68-3. Somehow, the Falcons are only 2.5 games behind the Buccaneers but if they keep playing like this, it’s going to get worse before it gets better in Atlanta.
