Panthers and Patriots Fight

It appears that there is some bad blood between the New England Patriots and the Carolina Panthers as the teams can’t seem to practice with each other without a massive brawl breaking out. And on Wednesday, the brawl even affected a spectator.

During a joint practice between the two teams on Tuesday, multiple fights broke out resulting in several ejections after some players threw punches. Apparently, the two sides were unable to create peace during Wednesday’s joint practice as tempers flared once again, resulting in yet another massive brawl that extended into the stands.

The brawl began after Patriots defensive lineman Deatrich Wise hit Panthers star running back Christian McCaffery hard as he was attempting to run out of bounds. McCaffery didn’t like the hit, and several of his teammates came to his defense, attacking Wise and starting a fight.

As shown in the video, the brawl extended into the stands as several Panthers players drove Wise into the front row of the bleachers. According to Patriots Insider Tom E. Curran, the players landed on a woman in the first row who injured her foot when a helmet landed on it.

Curran reports that despite her injury, the woman refused medical attention. The Patriots training staff did offer her tickets to a game later in the season.

While it’s great to hear that everyone is alright, it’s at least a little bit concerning that these two teams can’t seem to make it through a single practice without a brawl. However, it could make things interesting when they face off in Friday night’s preseason game.
