The New York Giants introduced Brian Daboll as their new head coach on Monday. But before the former Buffalo Bills offensive coordinator could do his press conference, he rolled up in his pick-up truck and the Giants’ social media crew was there to capture the scene, thereby making it 100 times more awkward.
Fans were greeted by a video of Daboll in a dapper suit walking to the Giants’ facilities in silence as the camera person shadowed him and no one said a word. Super awkward!

You can’t just post something like that and not expect the NFL world to have some fun with it. And the reactions to the video spanned a lot of topics, from the awkwardness of the video to the pick-up truck arrival to the fitted suit reveal.
BRB gonna get an NFL head coaching job so the social team has to post a video of me rolling up in my 2002 Escort https://t.co/NXLTbvcrxg

The Giants have big expectations for Daboll, who was voted the AP’s NFL Assistant Coach of the Year in 2020 and has overseen a Bills offense that finished third in the NFL with 28.4 points a game and fifth with 381.9 yards a game. He was also part of the five Super Bowl-winning teams with the New England Patriots as an assistant.
Awkard introductions out of the way, Daboll can get to work trying to get the Giants back into the playoff hunt, which is no small task considering the culture he’s replacing.
