Coming into the week it was not looking good for the Giants with key injuries to both starting quarterback Daniel Jones and backup quarterback Tyrod Taylor.
The Giants worked out a number of free-agent quarterbacks including former Georgia standout Jake Fromm and former Alabama product A.J McCarron.
Neither player was signed, which was an indication that either Jones or Taylor would be good to go for the team’s Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers.
We now know the status for both players, and it will be Daniel Jones under-center for New York.

It will be veteran quarterback Davis Webb who will be Jones’s primary backup instead of Taylor, who failed to pass the concussion protocol for Sunday’s game.
Tyrod Taylor is out Sunday. So it’ll be Daniel Jones starting, Davis Webb backup. Leonard Williams (knee) is questionable. Julian Love is back. Full Giants injury report at Packers: pic.twitter.com/lHKzW3GEZA

New York has been better than even the most optimistic Giants fans could have expected this year, starting the season 3-1 with Jones under center.
They will face what is likely their biggest test of the year thus far against the Packers, who have also started their season on the right foot with a 3-1 record.
According to Sports Interaction via Sportingnews.com, New York is currently an 8-point underdog against Green Bay, so Jones will certainly need to have a big game for the Giants to come away with a victory on Sunday.
Unfortunately for Jones, he will need to do so with a number of injuries to key wide receivers, with Kenny Golladay, Kadarius Toney, and Wan’Dale Robinson all being ruled out for the game.
