The New York Giants have made a number of moves this offseason to address their quarterback position for the 2025 NFL season, bringing in veterans Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson this month to help right the ship in New York.
However, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter, the organization still may not be done when it comes to addressing the quarterback position.
During an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show on Tuesday, Schefter outlined how the Giants, despite bringing in Wilson and Winston, could still be in the market to potentially draft Shedeur Sanders with their No. 3 overall pick in the 2025 NFL Draft.
“I would say that their quarterback room is and continues to be a work in progress,” said Schefter. “I still think with Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston and Tommy DeVito, the Giants may still go ahead and take Shedeur Sanders at No. 3. I don’t think it changes anything. That team has struggled at that spot. They are going to do everything that can to address it, short and long-term. If the Giants love Shedeur Sanders enough at No. 3, I don’t care who they add between now and the opening night of the draft. I still think that Shedeur Sanders would be the pick if that’s who they believe in.”
Colorado QB Shedeur Sanders has been, and continues to be, linked to the Giants, no matter what quarterbacks New York adds to its roster. With @tyschmit:

One could argue that bringing in Wilson and Winston somewhat signals that the Giants aren’t in love with Shedeur Sanders as a prospect. But maybe they potentially just want to give Sanders a year to learn under two veterans that have done it at the highest level for a long time.
Only time will tell whether the Giants are indeed still in the market on Sanders. But Adam Schefter at least still thinks the possibility is on the table.
