The New York Giants is entering its first season under head coach John Harbaugh. The Giants are hoping that the veteran head coach’s experience will go a long way in helping young quarterback Jaxson Dart’s development.

As much buzz as the Giants have around the young players in the building, one of those young players has received some devastating news, according to one prominent league insider.

Giants CB Thaddeus Dixon, a UDFA from North Carolina, tore his Achilles yesterday during workouts, sources say. An unfortunate injury for a rookie whose hamstring injury helped lead him to be undrafted,” reported Ian Rapoport on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Thaddeus Dixon going undrafted because of a hamstring injury and then tearing his Achilles during his first real opportunity to prove himself is genuinely one of the more devastating injury stories of this entire rookie class. The Giants gave him a shot and now he faces the longest road back before his career even properly started,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“At what point do these athletes refuse to play at MetLife. It’s a complete Hazzard and should be eliminated,” one fan added.

“That sucks bro that’s prob career ending for him,” another fan added.

Hopefully, Dixon is able to beat the odds and make a complete and full recovery.
