The New York Giants were able to defeat the Chicago Bears on Sunday to move to 3-1 0n the season, but some concerning injuries occurred to the top-two quarterbacks on the Giants roster.

Starting quarterback Daniel Jones injured his ankle in the third quarter and was replaced by veteran quarterback Tyrod Taylor.

Disaster struck when Taylor also went down with a concussion, and the team was forced to send a hobbled Daniel Jones back into the game to basically play a decoy-quarterback role.

Both quarterbacks’ availability for Sunday’s game is certainly in question, and the team has decided to work out a free-agent quarterback who has some familiarity with both the organization and new head coach Brian Daboll in the past.

According to NFL insider Jeremy Fowler, the Giants are working out former Georgia standout Jake Fromm due to their injuries at the quarterback position.

Fromm last played at the NFL level last season with the Giants, going 0-2 as the team’s starter with less than exceptional stats to boot.

He also spent time with the Buffalo Bills while Brian Daboll was the team’s offensive coordinator.

It is also expected that the team will sign veteran quarterback Davis Webb from the practice squad if Jones or Taylor are not cleared to play next weekend.

It is certainly poor timing for the team to have injuries at quarterback considering they have to travel to London shortly for their Week 5 game against the Green Bay Packers.

Jake Fromm would bring some familiarity to the locker room since he was with the team last year, but the Giants certainly look to be under-manned for their upcoming matchup against star quarterback Aaron Rodgers.
