A couple of months ago, Tom Brady saw his season come to an unfortunate close when his Tampa Bay Buccaneers fell to the Dallas Cowboys in the Wild Card Round of the NFL Playoffs. It ultimately turned out to be the final game of his NFL career as he announced his retirement the following month but as his ex-wife, Gisele Bündchen points out, the loss wasn’t really his fault.

This week, Vanity Fair Magazine published a long-form cover story on Gisele where she opened up about several aspects of her divorce from Tom Brady, explaining how the pair had drifted apart over the years. But she also spoke about her ex-husband’s loss to the Dallas Cowboys.

In the interview, Gisele revealed that she was cheering for Brady despite the divorce and did not blame the loss o him. Instead, she absolutely blasted his offensive line.

“It was tough, but you know what? Let’s just be honest. It’s a team sport and you can’t play alone,” Gisele told Vanity Fair. “I think he did great under the circumstances that he had. I mean, he had no offensive line.”

She’s certainly got a point. Brady was hit six times in the game and sacked twice as he dealt with plenty of pressure from the Dallas pass rush.
