Leading up to the 2022 NFL season, there has been lots of speculation about the relationship between Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and his supermodel wife Gisele Bündchen with rumors swirling that the two were having marriage problems following Brady’s decision to un-retire just a few months after announcing his retirement from football.

The two have not said much publicly about their relationship in recent weeks, with Brady speaking only vaguely about his family life and Gisele breaking her silence with a Tweet before the Bucs’ preseason opener against the Dallas Cowboys.

But Gisele spoke quite a bit more about her thoughts on Brady’s football career in an interview with ELLE, saying she’s had conversations with him about his football career “over and over again.”

“Obviously, I have my concerns—this is a very violent sport, and I have my children and I would like him to be more present,” she says. “I have definitely had those conversations with him over and over again. But ultimately, I feel that everybody has to make a decision that works for [them]. He needs to follow his joy, too.”

If Giselle does prefer Brady to retire, she will likely get her wish after this season. Before Sunday’s season-opening agme, reports came out noting that this is expected to be Brady’s final NFL season, regardless of how it plays out.
