Tom Brady

Legendary NFL quarterback Tom Brady, the owner of an unmatched seven Super Bowl rings, has retired from playing on Sundays and moved on to his second career. Brady is now serving as a broadcaster for FOX, working as a game analyst.

Immediately after joining the network, Brady was promoted to FOX’s No. 1 analyst role, demoting Greg Olsen to the No. 2 spot. Unfortunately, some embarrassing news has broken that calls into question the legitimacy of Brady’s promotion.

Greg Olsen won the Emmy for Outstanding Personality/Event Analyst in back-to-back years as the No.1 game analyst and has been nominated again despite being demoted to the No. 2 role, according to Pro Football Talk.

Brady, on the other hand, was not nominated at all. Fans reacted to the embarrassing news on social media.

“Aikman should win the award out of that mix, in my opinion. Seems the least encumbered, which wasn’t always the case w/ him. I like Olsen but I think people get a little carried away w/ assessing him as terrific. To me he’s solid/above average. Brady got better as the yr went on,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“If Tom Brady would have been nominated, what little shred of credibility the Emmys had would have been gone. Congrats to Greg Olsen, who earned his nomination,” another fan added.

“Well duh Brady wasn’t good and generally Olsen is. By quality Olsen should be 1 and Tom 2. Tom is awkward in his delivery he isn’t enjoyable to listen too,” wrote someone else.

It’ll be interesting to see if Olsen wins his third Emmy in a role.
