On Monday afternoon, the Kansas City Chiefs visited the White House to celebrate their recent Super Bowl victory over the Philadelphia Eagles with United States President Joe Biden. While the celebration was largely unpolitical and focused primarily on football and the team’s accomplishment, one Kansas City Chiefs star couldn’t help but use the occasion to send a political message.
During Monday’s festivities, Kansas City Chiefs star kicker Harrison Butker wore a tie that had a subtle pro-life message written on it as he stood behind Joe Biden at the podium. The message read “Vulnerari Praesidio,” which is Latin for “Protect the Vulnerable” – a popular Pro-Life message.
Buter also wore a small gold pin that replicated the size of a 10-week-old aborted baby’s feet.

“I want to give the most vulnerable, the unborn, a voice at a place where every effort has been made to allow and normalize the tragic termination of their lives,” Butker told The Daily Signal in a statement. “As a father who has experienced three miscarriages, my wife and I understand the hardships that come with losing a child. Every life is precious and should be valued whether outside or inside the womb.”
The tie was designed by Pro-Life organization Live Action.
