The Los Angeles Rams have a new logo coming in 2020 (to go with a new home- SoFi Stadium), and teased that with a tweet on Saturday (Update: Scroll down to see the official logo).

Well, a new Rams logo made the rounds on social media on Sunday, and was met with plenty of criticism. One common complaint: the leaked logo looks as much like (if not moreso) a Los Angeles Chargers logo:
I don't know if this is the Rams' new logo, but it looks like it'd be sold at a Walmart near SoFi Stadium for tourists who can't decide between backing the Rams and Chargers pic.twitter.com/95HFRzUSNR

I think this looks more like a Chargers logo than a Rams logo?
Am I wrong? https://t.co/0D6SVkpqjn

This Rams leak better be wrong, because man, that’s… trash. It’s trash. It’s closer to being a Chargers logo than a Rams logo, and still, it’s real bad. Holding out hope, but yikes. pic.twitter.com/nxMiMX5pXE

And later on Sunday, Yahoo Sports! reporter Charles Robinson confirmed that this really is the new Rams logo!
So this #Rams new logo hat that leaked on Reddit is legitimate. That’s the new logo. Thoughts? pic.twitter.com/mTZMeseS2f

We’ll have to see the new uniforms and helmets to conclude more, but the Rams’ organization will likely be disappointed with the initial response to the logo.
UPDATE: The Los Angeles Rams unveiled their new logo on Monday. It at least looks a bit less Chargers-esque with the Rams’ royal blue, and the logo of the Ram (with no LA) is a pretty unique look.
