On Sunday afternoon, the Arizona Cardinals suffered a 19-9 lopsided loss to the Seattle Seahawks, but the game wasn’t the only thing the Cardinals lost as it appears the team could be without star wide receiver Marquise “Hollywood” Brown for the rest of the season.

According to NFL insider Adam Schefter of ESPN, Brown suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury during the loss on Sunday.

“Cardinals’ WR Marquise Brown suffered a potentially season-ending foot injury Sunday, per sources. He is undergoing further testing today to determine the extent of the injury,” Schefter said in a Tweet on Monday.

It’s a sudden and surprising update for the star wide receiver, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on Monday afternoon.

While Brown’s injury is undoubtedly a disappointing development for the Cardinals, the team is getting a little bit of good news at wide receiver this week as star wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins is expected to return from injury. In addition, news broke that the team was trading for Carolina Panthers wide receiver Robbie Anderson.

Brown’s injury is a big blow for the Cardinals, but the additions of Hopkins and Anderson will likely help ease those concerns just a little bit.
