Former Buffalo Bills edge rusher Jerry Hughes has found a new home with the Houston Texans. Hughes spent most of his career in Buffalo.

During his time with the Bills from 2013 to 2021, Hughes averaged about six sacks and 26 tackles per year and only missed one game during his time.

Hughes’ career came into question when the Bills signed veteran Von Miller, who had just won a Super Bowl with the LA Rams.

Hughes will be a welcome addition to this team. The longtime Bills player thanked those fans and the organization for the kindness they have shown over the years towards him and his family on his Twitter account.

“To the Pegulas, my teammates, coaches and staff, and of course Bills Mafia, I am so thankful for the people I’ve met and the friendships that were formed. ”

“It’s been an amazing 9 years. My family and I enjoyed it all. Forever grateful and unbelievably blessed.”

Coming out of TCU, Hughes was a two-time All-American who was drafted 31st in 2010 by the Indianapolis Colts where he would spend his first two years as a pro before leaving for the Bills, where he would spend the majority of his playing career.

Not only will his presence be missed on the field by the Bills, but off it as well.
