The Jacksonville Jaguars are doing a good job of turning things around this season after missing the playoffs just a season ago. After the first four weeks of the season, the Jags are 3-1 behind the leadership of new head coach Liam Coen and quarterback Trevor Lawrence.

Unfortunately, the Jags are facing the reality of having to fight an uphill battle moving forward, as one of their most important pieces could miss some time with an injury, according to one of the league’s leading insiders.

Jaguars edge Travon Walker had wrist surgery, coach Liam Coen announced, though he’s considered day-to-day. Coen said he could even play on MNF,” reported NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport on Thursday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“The team will need him to play if they want to have 50/50 odds against the Chiefs. But don’t rush him,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Great news. Can’t say I’m optimistic about Monday Night but sure seems like it won’t be a long absence,” another fan added.

“Lets go! Heal up and play monday Travons been through this exact situation before in college. Surgery and back same week,” another fan added.

It’ll be interesting to see how the Jags do if Walker can’t go.
