The Cleveland Browns have not had the season that many expected, sitting at 7-9 on the year and missing out on the postseason for the second year in a row. They will finish up their disappointing year by trying to play spoiler against the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 18 in what may be the last game that defensive end Jadeveon Clowney plays for the organization.

Clowney spoke with Mary Kay Cabot of Cleveland.com, where he revealed that he thinks it will be his last game for Cleveland because he wants to go where he is valued.

“Ninety-five percent sure I won’t be back,” Clowney told Cabot on Thursday. “But there’s still that 5 percent. You never know what can happen.

“I just feel like I need to be around somebody that believes in me and my ability. It can’t just be me believing in myself. I believe in myself more than anybody.”

This news has certainly caught the attention of plenty around the NFL world, with many extremely surprised by Clowney’s potential exit from Cleveland coming soon.

“90 did not hold back and left a mushroom cloud on the Browns coaching staff,” tweeted Daryl Ruiter of 92.3 The Fan in Cleveland.

“Jadaveon Clowney being a great sleeper cell agent for the Steelers this week. Internal strife! Calling out teammates and coaches! Browns is the Browns!” tweeted Josh Carney of the Beaver County Times.

Despite playing alongside star pass rusher Myles Garrett, Clowney has not made much of an impact in his second year with the team, recording only two sacks in 12 games played this season.

Considering the drastic dropoff in production, it may be best for both sides if Jadaveon Clowney does indeed play elsewhere next year.
