Jadeveon Clowney is a physical marvel, there’s no doubt about it. I remember watching him outrun his linebacker and defensive back teammates once attempting to catch an opposing breakaway run.

With DeShaun Watson making his first start for the Texans on the road in Cincinnati, Houston’s defense was always going to have to show up big. With the game a predictable 0-0 in the first quarter, the Bengals ran what looked like a successful reverse to rookie wideout John Ross. But one helmet to the ball later, and Clowney was heading the other way, carrying the football like it was made of Nerf:

That’s Clowney grabbing the ball and immediately heading upfield, tiptoeing down the sideline, swinging the ball around like it’s nothing, and then somehow getting tackled by Andy Dalton, though to be fair Andy Dalton has plenty of experience tackling opposing players.

The Texans have been known to use their best defenders on offense in the past. Is it so much to ask that they throw a few fade routes to Clowney sometime? Hell, if Watson gets hurt, they’d probably be better off with Clowney at quarterback than going back to Tom Savage. (They’d be better with Fred Savage, though.)

The Texans and Bengals are tied at 3, because of course they are.
