The Baltimore Ravens have already made some big moves this offseason, signing star quarterback Lamar Jackson to a long-term extension and bringing in former All-Pro wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. as a free agent signing. And now it looks like they’re making a pretty big move to help bolster their defense ahead of the season.
According to a report from league insider Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, the Baltimore Ravens are bringing in veteran pass rusher Jadeveon Clowney, signing the former No. 1 overall pick to a one-year deal.
“Another year, another late addition of pass-rush help: This time, the #Ravens are signing Jadeveon Clowney to a 1-year deal, giving them a key situational rusher. He’ll complement Odafe Oweh and David Ojabo off the edge,” Rapoport said in a tweet.

It’s a major move for the Ravens as they add perhaps the top available veteran pass rusher, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it on social media.

Clowney was selected as the No. 1 overall pick in the 2014 NFL Draft by the Houston Texans. After spending four season in Houston, he spent one season with the Seattle Seahawks and one season with the Tennessee Titans before spending the past two years with the Cleveland Browns.
