The Jacksonville Jaguars announced Wednesday that they have cut kicker Matt Wright. Who is Matt Wright you may be asking? Well, he is the guy who replaced Josh Lambo at the position.

Lambo is the kicker who is suing the team for almost $4 million dollars as a result of physical and mental damages he suffered under former head coach Urban Meyer.

Wright turned out to be a great replacement for Lambo, which is one of the few things Meyer may have gotten right when he was head coach of the team.

Some Jags fans, however, are questioning the move and wondering out loud what it means. As the Jags are being sued by their former kicker, does cutting Wright mean that they are about to bring back Lambo?

Wright, who is a graduate of Central Florida, is probably going to be best known for breaking the Jags’ 20-game losing streak last season against the Miami Dolphins in London.

This was Wright’s fifth team since joining the NFL and he has yet to spend no more than a year at each spot. Despite that, Wright has hit nearly 90% of his field goals in his NFL career, which his longest being a 56-yarder, so more than likely, he won’t be out of a job for long.
