After a dissapointing season that saw the Jacksonville Jaguars miss the playoffs, star quarterback Trevor Lawrence has been linked to the Pittsburgh Steelers. However, according to Pro Football Talk, Lawrence has said that such rumors are unfounded.

Still, it looks like the Jags are adding depth and insurance at the position just in case.

“Jaguars announced they have signed QB John Wolford and WR Louis Rees-Zammit to their active roster,” reported ESPN’s Adam Schefter on Monday.

Fans reacted to the news on social media.

“Man, Wolford turned that one partial season with the AAF Hotshots into a really nice NFL career. Even won a Super Bowl with the Rams,” one fan wrote on Twitter.

“Signing QB John Wolford and WR Louis Rees-Zammit to the active roster adds some solid depth. Excited to see what they bring to the team,” another fan added.

“Great moves by the Jaguars! John Wolford brings some solid experience, and Louis Rees-Zammit is a promising addition. Excited to see how they’ll contribute to the team’s success,” one fan added.

“Jags may finally have their QB1,” wrote one fan.

“Trevor Lawrence time as a Jag is over,” added another.

It’ll be interesting to monitor the situation in Jacksonville regarding Lawrence.
