The Washington Commanders have a new offensive coordinator after hiring former Kansas City Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy during the offseason, and it sounds like he’s already making his impact felt on the team.

This week, wide receiver Jahan Dotson spoke to reporters during his youth football camp on Saturday, and he revealed that he can already see a difference in the team and the offense as a result of Eric Bieniemy.

“I feel like he’s brought culture to our team,” Dotson said according to Nicki Jhabvala of the Washington Post. “He’s brought a sense of energy, a sense of urgency. It’s been really good just being able to learn from him and just get familiar with the things he wants us to do and the things we want to do.”

Bieniemy came to Washington after five seasons as the offensive coordinator of the Kansas City Chiefs, where he worked with Andy Reid to run the team’s offense. It will be interesting to see how successful Bieniemy is on his own without the help of Reid or a prolific quarterback like Patrick Mahomes.

If Bieniemy is successful in Washington, it’s likely only a matter of time before he is considered for head coaching positions.
