Philadelphia Eagles quarterback is one of the best stories in football history. After losing his job as the starter to Tua Tagovailoa at the University of Alabama and being forced to transfer to Oklahoma University, Hurts overcame the odds to make it to the NFL, where he was drafted by the Philadelphia Eagles.
Last season, Hurts secured the highest prize in the sport, leading the Eagles to a victory over the Kansas City Chiefs in the Super Bowl and bringing home Super Bowl MVP.
Now, Hurts has more great news for his fans, according to one prominent Eagles insider.
“It was just announced on The Today Show that Eagles QB Jalen Hurts is releasing a children’s book and it is illustrated by Nneka Myers. The book is titled ‘Better Than a Touchdown,'” reported Anthony DiBona on Monday.
Fans reacted to the news on social media.
“We are very lucky to have such a good person at QB leading by example for the young ones,” one Eagles fan wrote on Twitter.
“I know it rubs people the wrong way but I absolutely love how Hurts just has no time for nonsense lol. CJ Stroud and Jayden Daniels made more public appearances in 1 year than Hurts has in half a decade, one fan added. “I love how he’s all football and charity, that’s about it.”
“What can’t this man do?” someone else wanted to know.
It’ll be interesting to see how Hurts’ book does on the market.
