James Robinson has hilarious reaction to getting traded
"It feels pretty good, I'll tell you, to go to 5-2 from 2-5."
Even though running back James Robinson has spent his entire NFL playing career with the Jacksonville Jaguars so far, it doesn’t sound like he was too upset by the team’s decision to trade him to the New York Jets ahead of this week’s NFL trade deadline.
The New York Jets traded for the young running back after news that starting running back Breece Hall had torn his ACL and would miss the rest of the season. Following the trade, James Robinson revealed that he was more than happy to leave the Jaguars and join the Jets. After all, he’s now playing for a playoff contender.
“I love the vibe,” Robinson said, according to the New York Jets’ official team website. “There’s a lot of guys that want to win and I can see that. At practice I can see that, too. It feels pretty good, I’ll tell you, to go to 5-2 from 2-5.”
Robinson will likely have a chance to make his Jets debut this week when the team takes on the New England Patriots in a divisional showdown on Sunday afternoon. And based on the state of the Jets’ running back position at the moment, it seems like the team desperately needs him.
