Last season, former Alabama Crimson Tide star receiver Jameson Williams was one of the best and most dominant receivers in all of college football. But then during Alabama’s showdown with the Georgia Bulldogs in the College Football Playoff title game, Williams suffered an ACL injury that has sidelined him ever since.

Despite the injury, Jameson Williams was still selected by the Detroit Lions with the No. 12 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft but he has yet to make his NFL debut. However, Williams has just been cleared to return to practice for the first time since his knee injury, and he couldn’t be more excited.

“I’ve missed the game a lot,” Williams said, according to MLive. “I’m real, real, real excited to put my cleats on, to get to put my jersey on, to be able to get out there with the guys and actually be a part of the team. You feel me? It’s something I missed a lot, and I’m just happy to get back.”

His return is absolutely massive news for the Lions, and the NFL world had plenty to say about it.

While Williams was unable to participate in the NFL combine, his greatest asset is his breakaway speed. And he’s excited to put it on display soon.

“My skill-set is different,” Williams said. “I feel like coaches have a great plan for me and how they will use me. So when the time comes, we’ll see for sure.”
