Jared Goff grew up in Northern California, thus making him a San Francisco Giants fan. So when the Los Angeles Rams quarterback was drafted first overall in May by LA, an old tweet about Los Angeles Dodgers star Yasiel Puig was brought back.
I really hope Yasiel Puig gets a fastball in his ribs tomorrow

Ah, the power of social media.
Goff’s old tweet led to Dodgers’ outfielder Yasiel Puig making fun of Goff while simultaneously welcoming him to Southern California.
@JaredGoff16 Big hug, Welcome to LA, I show you around, be my guest to @Dodgers game #PuigYourFriend #PuigNotLate https://t.co/85B1djlAGM

Well, Goff was finally a guest of Puig and the Dodgers on Monday when he threw out the first pitch to you guessed it, Yasiel Puig.
But this wasn’t the first time the two put the matter to bed. In fact, Goff told reporters that he and Puig had already talked about Goff’s tweet.
“We made up a long time ago and it was good to talk to him, he’s a really cool guy,” said Goff. “It’s funny, it was something I tweeted when I was 17 years old and it came out now. He thought it was funny.”
Now that they could joke about it in public at a Dodgers’ game, Puig took advantage and got Goff a gift.
.@JaredGoff16, meet @YasielPuig.
Goff also got to take some batting practice swings and let’s just say the quarterback looked a little better than Charles Barkley.
